About the Pearson Scholarship
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious and competitive international scholarship. Each year, it is awarded to approximately 37 outstanding students from around the world, including those studying at Canadian high schools.
However, this scholarship is not solely based on grades. It is intended for students who:

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be an international student (non-Canadian, requiring a study permit)
- Be in your final year of high school in 2025/2026 or have graduated no earlier than June 2025
- Be ready to begin your studies at U of T in September 2026
- Be applying to U of T for the first time (students already at a post-secondary institution are not eligible)

Application Process for the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship
To apply for the Pearson Scholarship:
- Get Nominated by Your School: Your high school must nominate you. If your school has never participated before, it can apply to become eligible.
- Apply to U of T by October 17, 2025: Your scholarship application will be tied to your first-choice program.
- Submit Your Scholarship Application by November 7, 2025: Once nominated, you’ll receive a unique link to complete your Pearson application.
